I had tested some patterns (this and this) for Irene (Serger Pepper) but I didn’t have time to test this one. I saw many great creations from this pattern on Facebook and wanted to try one. So when I heard from Irene about blog tour, I got very excited.
But more the day of my blog tour post became close, more I got anxious. What could I make with “tank top” pattern in this cold weather? Hmmmm…
And I decided, like some of fellow blog tour buddies already showed, this pattern could be used for the vest.
This is what I ended up with. Lined vest with zipper on the back. It can be worn as a jumper on leggings or tights.
Or as the vest over some shorts or pants.
And it can be worn back side on front zipped. So this has three ways to wear. Yay!
I omitted side panels and made one front and two back pieces. I added 1.5cm for the seam to attach the zipper on both of the center of the back pieces. I adjusted the length and narrowed the neck opening.
I used this thick knit fabric from my shop and lined it with this flannel also from my shop. I loved both of these fabrics. Thick knit made this vest cozy and warm. Plaid flannel added cuteness and comfiness inside.
I love her ducky lips 🙂
Actually, I wanted it to be reversible, so it could be worn in 6 ways, right? But I couldn’t get a reversible zipper in time, so I just gave up and made it lined one.
Anyway, I loved the result and A did too. This must be worn many times through upcoming cold season.
